According to their co-workers, five interviewers – three men and two women – were taken from the hotel where they were staying – in the municipality of Juárez, in the northern area of Chiapas, adjacent to Tabasco – by alleged members of one of the drug cartels. The national president of Morena, Mario Delgado, confirmed the facts in his X account.

The media outlet El Sol del Sureste showed the images of the bodies of Chistian Landa Sánchez and José Luis Jiménez, detailing that passersby saw their bodies on the road; they were tied hand and foot and next to them was an orange piece of cardboard with a message, signed by “the Apa CJNG”.
The five interviewers were staying at the San Bénito hotel, located at the exit of the municipality of Juárez.
Eduardo Caballero, a pollster, on the Facebook account “Encuestadores de México”, explained that the three men are originally from Xalapa, Veracruz, and that the supervisor of the group is Adrián Cid, who remains missing. He explained that the three kidnapped in Chiapas were hired by Consulta Mitofsky.

“It also happened with the colleague who never appeared in Reynosa Tamaulipas and that the company was never responsible, and so there are many stories that those who run this media know that end in disgrace or simple scare,” said the pollster in the Facebook account, where job offers related to survey companies are posted.
At night, Mario Delgado, national leader of Morena, posted a post from Juárez, Chiapas in the early hours of Saturday.
“With great pain, sadness and indignation we regret and strongly condemn the murder of our colleagues Christian Landa Sánchez and José Luis Jiménez and we demand a thorough investigation from the corresponding authorities. Our solidarity and affection to your family, friends and loved ones. We are going to accompany them with all the fraternity that characterizes our movement,” says the politician.
