With thousands of articles and advertising collected in the 20th century, Francisco González promotes his projects Museo de la Marca and The Collector, the latter emulates a TV series.

With a collection of between 50 and 70 thousand items from the 20th century and more than half a million advertising posters, Francisco González promotes the projects of the Museo de la Marca and The Collector.

The first arises because his father was a publicist and for years he began to save any type of publicity and some notes of the most relevant news, not only from Mexico, but from the world, among them those of the 1957 earthquake, when the Angel of the Independencia fell from its base in Mexico City.

This news is surrounded by advertising for Pepsi, Coca-Cola, and others that adorn one of the walls of this place with the ability to amaze and fill anyone who has lived in that era with nostalgia.

“Today it is the world’s largest collection of advertising, which covers any brand, any product and what happens is that no brand saved at the beginning of the 20th century, no file, no file,” he says.

This collection, he adds, is also endorsed by the Guinness Record, as the largest in the world.

Shark Tank Experience

Francisco refers that he went to the entrepreneurial television program called Shark Tank to present the Brand Museum project, which managed to generate an offer, for which it is about to be opened in Mexico City so that people can know the files that are framed and preserved, even better than the brands themselves.

“The project was taken to Mexico for a television program for entrepreneurs, and that project will be developed in Mexico City,” he explains.

At the same time, it has a project called The Collector, which consists of opening a store in each capital city of the country, the first one is in Querétaro; where the intention is to generate a store style “The price of history” in which people can buy, sell, exchange or donate any collectible, from toys, video game consoles, electrical appliances, among others.

“To change any collectible item, from a toy, an old technology device, to any sports memorabilia, any type of collectible,” he explains.

He assures that anyone can go just to observe, and remember part of his childhood or parts of history that marked a stage of his life, there is even a piece of the Titanic.

Origin of the collection

The more than 50,000 items that are part of Francisco’s collection had their origins several years ago and with their own resources they have been growing, although he acknowledges that currently, as a result of his appearance on this program, many people from different parts of the country has given donations to further grow its collection

“I have been donated products for the collection, all the products donated by people are part of the collection, they are not for sale, only what was previously part of the inventory is what is put up for sale”, he clarifies.

Francisco points out that the prices of the collection range from 10 pesos to 100,000, so anyone can go and buy items for gifts or for their own pleasure.

“We have sports cards from 10 pesos, 20 pesos and you can take them, they are collectible items that will be worth more in time,” he adds.

Francisco’s goal is for there to be a The Collector store in each capital city of the country, as well as to consolidate the Museum of the Brand in Mexico City.

He also seeks to strengthen the Mexican Association of Collectors, he is the president, and the objective is to support the different people who are dedicated to this in the country.
