The purpose of this organization, directed by Enrique Perret, is to jointly create solutions that benefit Mexico, the United States (USA), and Canada in matters of migration, climate change, mobility, financial inclusion, education, public relations, culture, technologies emerging, and cybersecurity.

To understand the importance of North America as an economic and political unit, the event – which will take place from October 4 to 6 – will host more than 700 participants and there will be 23 panels featuring nearly 100 speakers. Ambassadors, governors, CEOs, and business leaders will meet to present proposals that help build a more competitive region on a global level.

The opening ceremony took place in the main patio of the Mining Palace at 5:00 p.m. this Wednesday and was chaired by Enrique Perret, executive director of the USMF organization, who welcomed the first speakers and presented the general axis of the event.

“What should we do right now for North America and where do we see ourselves in the near future?” was the question with which Perret began the ceremony. To respond to this, he proposed focusing on five main objectives in strategic areas such as:

-Shared prosperity and job creation: the goal is to have 110 million jobs related to the trade of manufactured products by 2050.

-Economic growth: the aim is to build a more prosperous and globally competitive region.

-Intraregional trade: increase trade in goods between North American countries to reach USD 14 trillion by 2050.

-Investment in infrastructure: strengthen supply chains that lead to a more environmentally friendly energy transition.

-Labor mobility and talent attraction: triple student exchange from 70 thousand to 210 thousand students by 2050.

Perret, who has extensive experience in the bilateral relationship between Mexico and the United States, emphasized that to have greater economic and labor development, participation is needed not only from commercial industries but also from financial institutions, governments of each country, and business leaders.

For the second day of activities, forums focused on national security, technological innovation, border protection, cultural exchanges, and the 2026 World Cup will be held. For the third, presentations will be made on the trilateral relationship between Mexico, the US, and Canada.
