Mexico City (September 6th, 2021).- The Adopta CDMX platform gives people the opportunity to adopt dogs and cats rescued from abuse or street conditions and provide them with a new loving family.
By adopting a puppy or kitten, not only one destiny is changed, but two lives are saved, that of the pet that found a new home and the one that is still waiting to be rescued.
The Adopta CDMX platform features 174 dogs and cats that have been rescued from mistreatment or street conditions, giving them the opportunity to have a new home.
It is a website where those interested in adopting can enter from their computer or cell phone and search by district, size, physical characteristics and even temperament for their faithful companion of adventures and their new best friend.
In 2021, the Adopta CDMX site was relaunched, created last year to serve as a link between people interested in adopting and associations and shelters that have pets.
As of June 30 of this year, 184 companion animals had been adopted through this platform.
For its anniversary, 174 animals took place on this platform; 169 dogs and five cats in search of a family. All vaccinated, spayed, and dewormed as part of responsible adoption.
How does Adopta CDMX work?
The website created by Mexico City’s Environmental and Territorial Planning Attorney (Procuraduría Ambiental y de Ordenamiento Territorial: PAOT) is powered by associations, shelters, and groups that have animals ready for adoption. These appear in cards where their color, size, temperament, age, and specific needs are described. In addition, their photograph is shown.
How to help shelters?
Donations in cash or in kind can be made directly to shelters and foundations to continue their rescue and animal care efforts.
