22 Mazatlán businesses do not comply with sanitary measures

Most of the sanctions were given for not having their respective permits and because they did not comply with health indications and provisions.

Mazatlán, Sinaloa (Feb. 23, 2021).- The Mayor Official of the Mazatlán City Council, Javier Lira González, announced that as a result of the operations that are implemented to enforce the prevention protocols for Covid-19, 22 establishments were infringed, sanctions were applied to 18 businesses and 4 entertainment establishments.

Lira González explained that in most cases, the sanctions were given for not having the owners with their respective permits because they did not follow the instructions.

The municipal official said that this past weekend the situation was more ‘relaxed’ in terms of tourist influx and the people who enjoyed the attractions of the port behaved well.

“They reported that most of the businesses were stable, the situation was normal and the health protocols were observed, there were no reports that we consider problematic,” he added.

He also said that they are already preparing for the next Easter season, to receive tourists in the New Normal.
