With the purpose of increasing tourism, the United Arab Emirates also provides five-year multi-entry visas for all nationalities

United Arab Emirates announced that Mexican citizens wishing to travel to that country may do so without having to obtain a visa.

The decision was announced at the first government cabinet meeting on Tuesday, which was chaired by Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, vice president and prime minister of the country as well as head of the emirate of Dubai, one of the seven that make up the Arab Emirates United.

It is intended to facilitate the entry, exit and permanence of nationals of both countries, said an official statement, as well as expand and improve bilateral relations in tourism, economy and investment.

The announcement made last October by both countries in the Mexican capital was formalized, Gulf Business recalled.

The measure will be implemented in the first quarter of this year, a statement from the Emirati government cabinet added. In the same session, plans were announced for a five-year multi-entry visa for all nationalities, which also aims to support the expansion of tourism.

To date, the United Arab Emirates receives about 21 million visitors every year, and although the country located in the southeast of the Arabian Peninsula already has a multiple entry visa, this is only for 90 days.
