Three Abandoned Kids Touch Mexico’s Heart: Two Months and No One Has Looked for Them

131

In San Luis Potosí, a heartbreaking story has come to light: three siblings, ages 11, 9, and 2, were found living completely alone in an abandoned house.

The courageous 11-year-old Pedro became a father, mother, and protector to his two younger siblings. For weeks, he shouldered the responsibility of finding food, caring for them, and keeping them safe, while the world seemed to have forgotten them.

The situation came to light when the desperate boy asked for help because his 2-year-old brother was sick. After their rescue, the three children are now under protection, in good health, receiving care, and have begun their schooling.

However, what is most painful is that two months have passed, and no family member has appeared to inquire about them, hug them, or take them home.

The story has filled thousands with outrage and tears on social media, not only in San Luis Potosí, but throughout Mexico.

Meanwhile, little Pedro’s only wish remains the same: to never be separated from his siblings, whom he protected with all his heart when no one else would.
