Members of a Searching Mothers collective in the State of Mexico were literally beaten up by Officers of the Prosecutor’s Office.
Members of the Ehécatl Feminist Collective were beaten by officials from the State of Mexico Attorney General’s Office inside the Public Prosecutor’s Office building while demanding justice in a case of assault; one of them had to be hospitalized.
The activists denounced arbitrary arrests and demanded an investigation into those responsible, as well as an accountability report for Attorney General José Luis Cervantes Martínez.
At the Public Prosecutor’s Office in Chimalhuacán, officials from the State of Mexico Attorney General’s Office assaulted mothers searching for their missing children, members of the Ehécatl Feminist Collective.
They also detained, apparently unjustifiably, Carmen Zamora, the movement’s lawyer.
This occurred after the leader and several members of the collective expressed their discontent with the judge’s decision not to prosecute one of the attackers of Susana, who was brutally beaten in July 2025.
A video, which has gone viral on social media, shows how, instead of being attended to and having their demands heard, the members of the Ministerial Police beat and mistreated them, raising suspicions that the authorities may be colluding with organized crime groups.
