This object is usually used in various celebrations in which residents gather. Due to its proximity to Oaxaca, this practice has been reported to have spread to other communities in that entity. This is how more and more localities have joined this tradition.

It is said that these types of tendencies can be dangerous, especially for minors; For this reason, all measures must be taken to avoid accidents, such as those recorded in different places due to the irresponsible use of fireworks.

This piñata is made by the artisans of the region, who place pyrotechnics in different points, which are then activated using a wick that causes it to spin several times while attached to a rope.

In the images taken by the content creator El Mundo de Toño, you can see how after a while, all the fireworks end, the device opens on its own and drops all the sweets.

The main difference is that you do not need to use a stick to hit it, as in the traditional version.

Several people approached to try to participate, even for a few seconds the moment in which a dog tried to bite the artifact was caught on video.

Typically, these piñatas are shaped like a pomegranate, which is why they have that name, although there are also cases in which they are inspired by other figures such as cartoon characters or children’s movies. Its use is common during the Christmas season.
