The state of Puebla is planning the construction of 68,950 new homes as part of the federal “Housing for Well-being” (Vivienda para el Bienestar) initiative, with 18,619 units already contracted, representing close to 30% progress toward the state’s established goal.

Federal Housing Strategy: The project is part of federally driven efforts to expand access to decent housing, specifically targeted at lower-income sectors that lack traditional financing options.

Participation of Infonavit and Other Institutions: Organizations such as Infonavit, Fovissste, and Conavi are actively collaborating to distribute these housing complexes. Infonavit alone projects reaching 45,000 homes across various municipalities in the state, with thousands of units already under construction or contract in areas like the capital city and Lomas de San Miguel.

Regularization and Credit Support: Beyond constructing new properties, the comprehensive program includes issuing public deeds, providing financial assistance for home improvements, and restructuring or clearing mortgage loans that were previously unpayable for thousands of families.

Social and Urban Impact: The new housing units are designed to meet modern standards for space and basic utilities, aiming to spur orderly urban development and guarantee property security for the region’s residents.
