According to this report, Mazatlán continues to increase its number of passengers, at the end of October it achieved the mobility of around 120,616 passengers

MAZATLAN. – The international tourism season has already started in Mazatlán and it can be seen, currently, in the flight status of the Mazatlán International Airport, of 21 arrival flights per day, at least 7 are from cities in the United States and Canada.

Among the international flights that have already reactivated frequencies are, from the United States, American Airlines, flights from Phoenix and Dallas, from Texas; from Alaska, the flight from Los Angeles, California; from Canada, from the Sunwing airline, flights from Edmonton and Calgary, from Alberta; and Vancouver, British Columbia; and one more from West Jet of Vancouver.

Domestic flights are maintained for Mexico City, Querétaro, Chihuahua, Baja California Sur, Baja California, Chihuahua and Nuevo León.

The number of passengers grows in Mazatlán

In the OMA Group’s October traffic report, passenger mobility closed with 120,616 passengers on commercial, non-scheduled commercial and general flights, which means an approximate increase of 6.5 percent compared to the same October, but 2022, which reported 113,260 passengers.

These figures place Mazatlán among the five destinations with the greatest air mobility in this group. In first place is Monterrey, Nuevo León, with 1 million 207 thousand 420 passengers in a single month; Secondly, it would be Culiacán, Sinaloa, with 215,893 passengers; Next is Ciudad Juárez, Chihuahua with 195,787 passengers; from there, Chihuahua with 174,972 passengers and in fifth place Mazatlán.

Of the passengers who circulated through Mazatlán in October, around 105,183 were national, 13 percent more than October 2022, which registered 92,847 passengers; of international flights, the report was 15,433 passengers, 24 percent less than last year, which closed with 20,413 passengers.

At the national level, flights are also growing

OMA reported, at the national level, a growth of around 12 percent in passenger traffic for the month of October. At its closing, they reported about 2 million 334 thousand passengers, 12 percent more than October 2022, which closed with 2 million 80 thousand passengers.

This company reported that during October they began operations on 4 routes, Monterrey to Toronto, with the airline Air Canada; Durango to Monterrey and vice versa, with the TAR airline; and with the same airline, Durango to Hermosillo.
