The mayor of Mazatlán will travel next week to Culiacán to meet with the governor of Sinaloa, Rubén Rocha Moya, and make the request directly.

MAZATLAN.- To combat the problems of the health network and provide a solution to the efforts of Mazatlán citizens, the government of Mazatlán will ask the State government to include it in the 2024 Annual Budget, reported Mayor Édgar Augusto González Zataráin.

He expressed that he has been in talks with Governor Rubén Rocha Moya about the issue of the municipality’s health network, which in some areas is collapsed, so next week he intends to travel to Culiacán to see more closely how they can work it out.

“I reiterated precisely that issue to him, I told him that I need plenty space to be able to explain to him, he told me ‘I’ll see you the week you come to my office to get serious about that issue.’ “What we are going to ask for is that it be included in the state budget, a great budget, a great resource for the issue of drainage and sewerage in Mazatlán.”

The municipal leader stressed that the main idea is to show Rocha Moya all the projects that the municipality brings to combat the problem, projects for which a lot of economic investment is needed, so including these works in the 2024 State Budget favors many ways to the municipality.

“He told me that he also brings up the issue and wants to talk about it with me, he told me that we should take the surveys of the work plans, budget and so on.”

Currently, Mazatlán has 116 critical points with drainage overflow problems.
