Silao.- After the cancellation of the failed National Holidays Fair in the Guanajuato Bicentenario Park (PGB) in the municipality of Silao, both the State Tourism Secretariat and the Park itself issued a statement in which they stated that the latter would receive a percentage for tickets.

“The agreement states that the promoter would market the use of spaces, as well as the contracting of artistic and cultural activities from September 1 to 17. The PGB participated in the promotion of the event through its official social networks,” the park says in the same statement.

During the first weekend of the event, there was no presentation, so the merchants who were already with their stalls inside the venue were upset, as well as those who felt cheated, coming from Oaxaca, which was the invited state; Because they missed other dates of other fairs and lost the money for the purchased space, as well as the money for the merchandise that was spoiled.

Given this, the Park indicated that it is already carrying out the pertinent legal proceedings against whoever promoted the event and sold the spaces, and for now they have provided a solution to the merchants.

“In response to the problems of the merchants, the PGB offered them to remain in the premises until September 17, so that they can market their products with the visitors who organically come to the premises,” the statement concluded.
