Mazatlán Pacific Marathon and Triathlon returns after three years of absence

After three years of absence, the Mazatlán Pacific Marathon and Triathlon 2023 are back, with the aim of continuing to be named as one of the top sporting events in the country, the party will be from December 1 to 3 and the arrival of 9 thousand participants is expected. 

In a press conference with the presence of Mr. Ismael Barros, executive president of Venados de Mazatlán, the great party that will be held on the Malecón to the sound of the band, the heat and the sea became official. 

The shirt that the competitors will use was also presented, which will be pink and will have the figure of the Mazatlan woman, a historical monument in the Sinaloan port, which also appears on the medal. 

As for the medal, it belongs to a collection that has been released since 2018, but due to the suspension of the event until now, the one that belonged to 2019 will be used and the others will be toured. 

“It is a great party that takes place in Mazatlán, a party where Mazatlán rises up and we have had up to 14 thousand runners from all over the world,” said Ismael Barros. 

“On behalf of the organizing committee, we seek to retake that place that we have had for more than 20 years, as one of the best events nationwide, and we invite everyone to experience this great party that will take place along the Malecón,” he added. 

For his part, Daniel Aceves, director of the Alfredo Harp Helú Foundation and Olympic wrestling medalist in Los Angeles 1984, pointed out that this competition will be part of the preparation of many athletes from various countries for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. 

The Marathon and Triathlon route will start and end at the Monument to the Pescador, reaching the El Escudo of Sinaloa, as well as the Cerritos area, which will take place along the Malecón to enjoy the sea.
