The baby was located in one of the benches inside the religious center and was transferred to the Municipal DIF by Hidalgo State Police officers.
A newborn was found abandoned inside the Metropolitan Cathedral of the Tulancingo de Bravo municipality, in the state of Hidalgo.
The events occurred on Wednesday, May 26th, when citizens reported the abandoned baby in one of the benches of the religious center to the emergency number 911.
Agents of Public Security of the State of Hidalgo (SSPH), municipal police, and paramedics from the Red Cross arrived at the place.
The little girl was assessed and taken to the hospital to receive medical attention, diagnosing a stable state of health.
The whereabouts of her parents and the reasons for which she was abandoned are unknown; so for the moment she was handed over to the Municipal DIF System where she will remain to carry out the pertinent actions prioritizing the baby’s welfare.
