Campeche supports 19 local products with digital platforms

Head of Sedeco reported that this impulse is derived from the pandemic

As part of the actions for the economic reactivation of the state of Campeche and the accompaniment of Campeche producers so that they market their products through digital means, there are 19 products of the entity that are offered in various commerce platforms through this route, affirmed José Antonio del Rio González, Secretary of Economic and Commercial Development (Sedeco).

The official explained that derived from the Covid-19 pandemic, which began in the entity more than a year ago, forced local producers, micro, small and medium-sized companies, to search digital, national and international platforms, the possibility of marketing their products through this channel.

“Derived from the above, various training courses have been carried out, in addition to providing support to Campeche producers, so that they can place their products through the digital service, whose tool is widely used at the moment.”

This led to the interest of Governor Carlos Miguel Aysa González, who from the beginning of the pandemic issued instructions to prepare an Economic Reactivation Plan for the entity, which included the Campeche producers.

Del Río González said that they have managed to sign agreements with companies and digital commerce platforms such as Amazon and another, which allow 19 Campeche products to be already being promoted for commercialization nationally and internationally.


“These digital tools have allowed producers to improve their income and increase their sales, even in these times of pandemic, which is a positive result,” said Del Río González.

The head of Sedeco said that digital commerce is a tool that has had to go through, derived from the pandemic and in which very good results have been obtained, with income for micro, small and medium producers.

He indicated that one of the processes that have allowed the transition to digital commerce has been training, which has been very well accepted by micro, small and medium entrepreneurs, who show interest in knowing the tools available to be able to place their products on social networks and the internet.
