The occupancy is 25 percent for this month’s long weekend and for Easter an occupancy of 65% is expected

Mazatlan, Sinaloa.- Reservations for the long weekend have begun to flow in the hotel industry in Mazatlán, Sinaloa.

Monday, March 15, will be a holiday, although the commemoration of the birth of Benito Juárez is on March 21, by order of the Federal Labor Attorney, the celebration is carried out on the day in question.

So far, reservations are at 25 percent, stressed José Ramón Manguart, president of the Association of Hotels and Motels of Mazatlán. Today there will not be high percentages of reservations in hotels, since tourists are very aware of the traffic lights due to Covid-19, the businessman added.

They wait to find out what the situation of the pandemic is in their place of origin and where they are going to travel. But, this implies that people book almost at the last minute as has been done in the past long weekends. They also arrive even without reservation and “we have to adjust to all changes,” concluded Manguart.
