New video-mapping show is coming to Downtown Guadalajara

Guadalajara Jalisco. – As part of the actions for the economic reactivation after the Covid-19 pandemic, the Historic Center of Guadalajara implemented video mapping in two of its most emblematic buildings, this with the aim of attracting tourists who visit the state capital.

“We carried out the supervision visit of the projection on the Guadalajara Cathedral as part of the program Renewing the Heart of the City, which has the objective of turning the Historic Center into a tourist spot and reactivating the local economy,” shared the municipal council through their social networks.

The government of Guadalajara pointed out that they want the city to be a more friendly and accessible space for all, under the program Renewing the Heart of the City, attracting local, national, and international tourism, as well as reactivating the economy of the municipality.

The project is about professional lighting through a video mapping in the Guadalajara Cathedral and the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Guadalupe, during the next few days the Municipal City Council in conjunction with the Metropolitan Area Tourism Trust will implement this program that seeks to strengthen the tourist reactivation of the city.

On February 14, Guadalajara celebrated its 479th anniversary, being the third most populated city in the country, although due to the Covid-19 pandemic, this year the birthday celebration was held remotely and under health protocols.
