Volkswagen Mexico will adjust Jetta output until March 5th over semiconductors

MEXICO CITY (Reuters) – Volkswagen AG’s Mexico unit said in a statement on Wednesday, Feb. 10th, it would adjust the production schedule of its Jetta model until March 5 due to a global shortage of semiconductors.

The adjustment would be for three days, spread over three different weeks, starting this week, Volkswagen said.

The Volkswagen plant in Puebla is the largest automobile factory in Mexico and also one of the largest vehicle plants in the Volkswagen Group.

The Puebla plant produces the models: Jetta, Beetle, Beetle Cabriolet, Golf, Golf SportWagen and Tiguan Long Version.
