In the first quarter of 2020, 101.2 million dollars were registered in FDI

Culiacán, Sinaloa (May 20, 2020).- Based on data from the National Registry of Foreign Direct Investment in the first quarter of 2020, investments of $101.2 million US dollars were registered in the state of Sinaloa.

The Secretary of Economy of Sinaloa, Javier Lizárraga Mercado explained that the sectors that received the most investment during this first quarter of the year were the manufacturing industry (45.9 million USD) and commerce (33.9 million USD).

In that sense, the countries that registered the most Foreign Direct Investment in the state during the first quarter of 2020 were the United States of America (74.4 million USD), Spain (23.2 million USD), Japan (3.0 million USD).

Quirino Ordaz Coppel

With the 101.2 million dollars attracted in this first quarter, the Government headed by Quirino Ordaz Coppel has attracted so far during his administration (up to the first quarter of 2020), a total of $ 1.5 billion US dollars in Foreign Direct Investment, 102% of compliance with the goal established in the State Development Plan 2017-2021.
