Citizens in the state of Tabasco send high alert and report police abuse and extortion of truck drivers on the highwys and roads.

State authorities in Tabasco claim their priority is protecting transport workers. But those affected say it is NOTHING BUT LIES!

At the La Venta, Tabasco checkpoint, Ministerial Police officers stopped a fellow truck driver, inspected his vehicle, and planted a pipe inside his pillow to frame him with a fabricated crime.

They found no drugs or irregularities, but—threatening to detain him—they demanded an instant transfer of 5,000 pesos directly to a bank account in exchange for letting him continue his journey.

Listen to the actual testimony of the affected driver in this video.

Truckers are crying out: Enough with the abuse and extortion of the transport industry! The FGR (Attorney General’s Office) and ministerial police spend their time hunting down independent truck drivers to extort them.

Let’s share this video so all of Mexico finds out—let’s not remain silent as a society!

Truck drivers say that they will continue to provide updates so that transport workers and motorists stay alert on roads not only in Tabasco, but all across Mexico.
