The 64th edition of the Feria Nacional de la Huasteca Potosina (FENAHUAP) 2026 concluded on April 5, 2026, in Ciudad Valles, San Luis Potosí. The 10-day event, held during Semana Santa, drew over 350,000 visitors and featured a significant artistic lineup at the Teatro del Pueblo. 

Event Highlights and Performances

The fair, which began on March 27, saw massive crowds for its free musical performances and cultural activities. Key attendance milestones included over 38,000 people for Bronco, 48,000 for Grupo Legítimo, and a peak of 54,000 for Espinoza Paz. The closing night on April 5 featured the duo Ha*Ash.

Major attractions included:

  • Artistic Lineup: Performances by Matute, Los Dos Carnales, Memo Garza, and La Casetera.
  • Cultural Events: A traditional inaugural parade, a horse cabalgata, and a charro tournament.
  • Family Activities: Free mechanical rides for children and a specialized pet park featuring a canine expo.
  • Sports: A 4×4 off-road route and a mountain biking marathon. 

Economic and Regional Impact

The FENAHUAP 2026 served as a major economic driver for the region during the Semana Santa holiday period. 

  • Economic Impact: The fair generated an estimated economic spill (derrama económica) of approximately 200 million pesos.
  • Tourism: Local hotels in Ciudad Valles reported occupancy rates reaching nearly 90% to 100% due to the influx of tourists.
  • Exhibitions: The event hosted a significant commercial, artisanal, and livestock exhibition (exposición ganadera) to promote regional products
