Not many people are aware that there is a link between Donald Trump and the girlfriend of López Obrador’s son.
Irene Sofía Esser Quintero, former Miss Venezuela, may have obtained her work visa thanks to her closeness to the US president, according to a Univision investigation.
Irene Sofía Esser Quintero, former Miss Venezuela, could be a point of contact between Donald Trump, US president, and Andrés Manuel López Obrador, Mexican president.
Univision News revealed in a recent investigation that Irene Esser obtained a work visa and a scholarship in New York thanks to Trump’s intervention.
According to that investigation, the girlfriend of Andrés Manuel López Beltrán – the Mexican president’s second son – has maintained a “close friendship” with the American millionaire.
Both Esser and Trump have been discreet about their friendship. There is only a photograph of the two taken at a cocktail party that circulated on Twitter.

Apparently, the relationship between the two began in 2012, during the Miss Universe pageant finals.
Esser attended as a representative of Venezuela, but a poorly answered question could have cost her the beauty pageant crown.
She was asked what law she would enact if she had the chance, but she responded unclearly.
“I believe that any law that is in the Constitution or affects our lives is already made. I believe we should have a similar direct path in our lives. I’m a surfer, and I believe the best wave I can ride is the one I wait for. So just do what we do, the law that we can make.”
The now actress won Miss Venezuela in 2011 and a year later participated in Miss Universe.
Donald Trump was the owner of the pageant at the time, and although he couldn’t help Irene win the Miss Universe crown, according to Univision, he did offer her an acting scholarship to the New York Film Academy.
In 2013, when she was already studying acting, Irene Esser was contacted by the Trump Model Management agency (formerly owned by the US president) offering her a job.
Michael Wildes is an immigration attorney who worked with Trump’s agency and confirmed to Univision that it was his firm that obtained Esser’s O-1 talent visa in late 2014.

According to the attorney, Trump Model Management paid for Esser’s processing; however, he said he was not authorized to comment on whether there was a friendship between the US president and the model.
There are also a few details about how Irene Esser met Andrés Manuel López Beltrán. What confirmed their relationship was the model’s presence at López Obrador’s inauguration on December 1.
Irene Esser has been seen smiling alongside the Mexican president’s son in different official and social events across Mexico.
