On January 5th, the President of Mexico, Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo, announced the conversion of the Tula thermoelectric plant to natural gas.
“The thermoelectric plant in Tula, which uses fuel oil, we are going to convert to natural gas. This year we are going to start with this project. We are going to clean up the entire Tula River and all its tributaries, it is a very important project to improve the Tula River.
She asserted that with these works the objective is to make Tula the cleanest city and with the best living conditions in the country.
“This is a historic commitment that we have for Hidalgo, in addition to other actions that we are going to develop in this beautiful state of Hidalgo,” she added.
She recalled that, in addition to this project, Hidalgo will have the Mexico-Pachuca passenger train line, which will begin to be built in April; as well as the Cosechando Soberanía field support program.
