Múzquiz Coahuila.- The local deputy of the 4T in Coahuila, Antonio “Tony” Flores Guerra, generated controversy on social networks when he was caught driving a luxurious cherry-colored Lamborghini Huracán, with an approximate value of more than 7.5 million pesos.
This action has been seen as contradictory to the principles of “republican austerity” promoted by the 4T (Fourth Transformation), especially in a state like Coahuila, where transparency and responsible use of public resources are highly relevant issues.
Tony Flores, a businessman in the coal sector, has benefited from million-dollar contracts from the Federal Electricity Commission (CFE), which has fueled criticism about his lifestyle and possible links between his political position and his business success.
The situation generated even more commotion when his sister, Tania Flores, mayor of Múzquiz, publicly defended her brother on social media. Tania responded to the criticism, calling it attacks by “cyberfleas and stingers,” implying that the accusations were unfounded and motivated by envy.
This incident adds to the media attention that Tony Flores has received, who has been a prominent figure in local politics in Coahuila. As a representative of the PT, his conduct is under scrutiny, especially in a context where austerity has been one of the pillars of his party’s narrative.
The Autocasión website reports that the value of a Lamborghini Huracán ranges between 216,000 and 338,000 euros, that is, between 4.5 million and 7 million Mexican pesos, depending on the model.
Despite the controversy, Flores has not issued public statements on the matter, leaving many questions in the air about how these behaviors fit with the policies that the 4T promotes at the national level.
