The female bikers will be visiting different magical towns in this rally that will help promote the landscapes and gastronomy of the state.
On July 12, 13 and 14, 81 women motorcycle drivers from different states of the Republic will meet in Hidalgo as part of the Fifth concentration of the International Confederation of Women Bikers (CIMB) 2024 Mexico delegation.
At a press conference at the facilities of the Hidalgo Tourism Secretariat, a group of members of the confederation in Hidalgo announced the route and events that these women who travel the country’s roads as motorcycle pilots will have.
They explained that the CIMB emerged in 2017, when they began to mature the project. Michel Roe, Catalina Vargas and Ileana Garita shared the dream of taking a trip on two wheels to Ushuaia, Argentina. Motivated by Gustavo Santillán, the idea became a reality by forming a support network for all women travelers in these conditions.
This international support network seeks the growth and empowerment of women motorcyclists and when they travel through Mexico or even other countries, they take care of each other until they reach their destination.
The International Confederation of Women Bikers has 650 members from different countries such as Costa Rica, Argentina, Cuba, Bolivia, Italy, Colombia and Spain, to name a few.
On July 12, the 81 participating bikers will be received at a hotel, from there they will ride through the streets of Pachuca until they reach Plaza Independencia where they will take a photo at the Monumental Clock.
The next day, they will get ready to leave at eight in the morning to Mineral del Monte, from there they will go to the Basaltic Prisms and the Hacienda Guadalupe de la Venta in Huasca de Ocampo and will conclude their tour in Omitlán.
On Sunday they will travel on their motorcycles to Ixmiquilpan where they will attend a spa and try the traditional Hidalgo barbecue.
The CIMB announced that next year, the edition of the International Confederation of Women Bikers meeting will be held in the Norhtern state of Chihuahua.
