Mexico will have a skyscraper that will be the largest in Latin America and the Twin Towers! This is the Torre Rise project, announced by the Tourism Secretariat of Nuevo León, the state that will host this work.
The 475-meter-long building is launched as part of the celebration of Nuevo León’s 200 years as a free and sovereign state.
Regarding how tall the now extinct buildings were: Tower 1, located to the north, reached 417 meters high; For its part, Tower 2, which was on the south side, had a size of 415 meters.
Its construction began on August 5, 1966 and its official inauguration was on April 4, 1973; each one had 110 levels.
“It will be a meeting and coexistence point for all the inhabitants and visitors of our State who will be able to enjoy its various attractions and services,” said the Secretary of Tourism, Maricarmen Martínez.
Samuel García, governor of Nuevo León, gave more details of the building that will have a viewpoint with a 360-degree view that, according to what he said, will be a permanent reminder that Nuevo León always rises.
Likewise, the state Ministry of Tourism indicated that the Rise Tower will be 100 stories high. From there you can see the Cerro de la Silla, La Huasteca and the Cerro de las Mitras.
Among other amenities, it will have a restaurant and cultural exhibition area.
The Rise Tower will be easy to access for citizens, since it will be close to the Obispado station on Line 4 of the Nuevo León Metro.
