The maximum festival of the Mazatlecos, which will be celebrated from February 8 to 13, reveals the names and faces of the candidates for their crowns

Mazatlán, Sin.- The Mazatlán International Carnival 2024 will be illuminated by the Baroque Eclipse, the theme of the greatest festival of the people of Buenos Aires, which will take place from February 8 to 13.

This Thursday night, at the Angela Peralta Theater, the names and faces of the 16 candidates who will seek to wear the crowns of the centenary party were also revealed.

With video images and a dance show that took attendees to the origins of the universe and the earth, the eternal love between the Astro King and the Moon also predominated, which on April 8 will let the Mazatlecos see how they merge full of passion.

Among the enthusiastic shouts of batons that filled the theater with hubbub, the candidates were introduced one by one.

The candidates for queen of the Mazatlán International Carnival 2024 are Aspasia Cárdenas Portillo, Siu Ling Cotero Chío, Carolina Pano Ruelas, Rubí Carolina Mondragón Madrigal, Irene Guadalupe Rojas Alcaraz, Jasaret Álvarez Díaz, Catalina Castellanos Osuna, Andrea Elizabeth García Navarro, Mónica Georgina Vázquez Veitia, Samantha Espinosa Osuna.

For their part, Víctor Manuel García Reyes, Carlos Pabián Barrón Sánchez, Héctor Ricardo Ontiveros Limón, Benjamín López de la Paz and Germán Orozco de la Rosa aspire to become the King of Joy.

María Guadalupe Velarde García and Givana Valdez Miranda compete for the title of Children’s Queen of the 2024 Carnival.

Also on-stage was the royalty of Carnival 2023, “Dejavú, 125 years of tradition” made up of Alejandra Tirado, Uma Ramírez, Víctor Quiroz, Melanie Alarcón and Ivanna Arámburo.

With this event organized by the Institute of Culture, Tourism and Art of Mazatlán, the starting signal for one of the most important carnival festivals in Mexico and Latin America is given.
