Zihuatanejo port reopens to navigation after storm Max

ZIHUATANEJO, Gro., After three days, the port was opened to navigation for all vessels from this destination.

The Port Captain’s Office reported that maritime activities resumed at 8 a.m. this Thursday, since there were favorable weather conditions for sailing in and out of the bay.

In total, more than 1,600 families dedicated to fishing and providing nautical services were affected by the closure.

The port was closed to navigation last Sunday at 6:00 p.m. due to the passage of tropical storm Max.

Also this Thursday morning, traffic was restored on the Zihuatanejo-Acapulco federal highway in the town of El Cuajilote, municipality of Tecpan; in addition to the El Tusal road section in Petatlán.
