Puerto Vallarta will host the Regional Anti-Corruption Meeting

For the first time in the history of the municipality, Puerto Vallarta will host the ‘Anti-Corruption Meeting with Municipal Authorities and Civil Society’ of the Costa-Sierra Occidental and Costa Sur regions, which will take place next Friday, October 13, by the government headed by Professor Luis Alberto Michel Rodríguez, in conjunction with the State Anti-Corruption System of the State of Jalisco, the Supreme Court of Administrative Justice of the State of Jalisco, the Comptroller’s Office of the State of Jalisco, the Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office of Jalisco and the Committee of Social Participation of the State of Jalisco.

The Municipal Comptroller, Master Héctor López González, reported that the regional meetings are intended to strengthen coordination mechanisms and invite governments to form their municipal anti-corruption systems, socialize and make visible the implementation route of the State Anti-Corruption Policy of Jalisco, as well as its framework programs.

There will be a presentation “Administrative responsibilities for public servants”, given by the Supreme Court of Administrative Justice of the State of Jalisco.

The invited municipalities are Casimiro Castillo, Cihuatlán, Cuautitlán de García Barragán, La Huerta, Tomatlán, Villa Purificación, Atenguillo, Cabo Corrientes, Guachinango, Mascota, Mixtlán, San Sebastián del Oeste and Talpa de Allende.

In addition, the attendance of leaders and members of business chambers is expected, such as Canaco, Canacope, Canirac and the Association of Hotels and Motels of Puerto Vallarta, as well as directors and students of the Centro Universitario de la Costa, Technological Institute of Puerto Vallarta, UNIVA Vallarta, Vizcaya University, Arkos University Center and UNE.

The meeting will take place in the Marietas Room of the HolidayInn& Suites Puerto Vallarta Hotel, starting at 10:30 a.m. Prof. Michel will give a welcome message as the host municipality and the inauguration will be led by Dr. Nancy García Vázquez, president of the Social Participation Committee of the State Anti-Corruption System of Jalisco.

  “We invite you to pay attention to the official social networks of the City Council where more information about the meeting will be provided,” concluded Maestro López González, who will also give a message at the closing of the meeting, as head of the Internal Control Body in Puerto Vallarta.
