The Secretary of State of the United States, Antony Blinken, arrived in Mexico this Wednesday on a visit to meet with the Mexican president, Andrés Manuel López Obrador, and other Mexican authorities to discuss common issues regarding migration and drug trafficking.
After arriving at Felipe Ángeles Airport, on the outskirts of Mexico City, Blinken met with Foreign Minister Alicia Bárcena to discuss common issues regarding migration.

Blinken is making this visit to demand that Mexico dismantle more clandestine fentanyl laboratories and collaborate with the control of the high flow of migrants that have been registered on the southern US border.
Antony Blinken is accompanied by the Secretary of National Security, Alejandro Mayorkas; the attorney general, Merrick Garland, the White House Security Advisor, Liz Sherwood-Randall and the person in charge of the State Department for Latin America, Brian Nichols.
