More British carriages arrive in Coatzacoalcos, for the Isthmus Interoceanic Train

The last wagons and locomotives of the Tehuantepec Isthmus Train, from the United Kingdom arrived this weekend at the Port of Coatzacoalcos south of Veracruz, aboard a huge cargo ship. On September 17, they will be launched during a tour led by the president of the republic Andrés Manuel López Obrador. 

The ship “BBC ARKHANGELSK” docked at dock 1 of the Coatzacoalcos port from the European continent, disembarking three locomotives weighing more than 70 tons each and 18 meters long. There were also eleven wagons of 38 tons and 23 meters long, equipment from Nottingham, United Kingdom. 

The railway equipment would be used for the transportation of passengers between the states of Veracruz and Oaxaca within the operations of the Interoceanic Corridor of the Isthmus of Tehuantepec (CIIT), one of the mega works of the current federal administration. 

On September 6, during his morning conference, President López Obrador confirmed that he will board the Interoceanic train for the first complete route of the supervision section. The trip will begin in Salina Cruz, on the coast of the Pacific Ocean, and will end in Coatzacoalcos. 

In the images you can see the huge black and white cars with red doors, made with top-level technology. This Saturday they were unloaded at the dock with the support of a crane. 

  At the same time, tests are carried out on the cars that are already on line Z, starting from Medias Aguas, in Veracruz, bound for the port of Salina Cruz, Oaxaca, with loaded equipment. 

Since tests have been carried out on the railway lines, the cars and locomotives have caused expectation and amazement among the residents of Veracruz and Oaxaca, who do not hesitate to go to the stations to take photographs or record some videos, with the hope of one day use them.
