Around 4:30 in the morning, residents of different neighborhoods in Nuevo Laredo, Tamaulipas, were awakened by armed confrontations between civilians and public security agents. Through videos, citizens reported the clashes in different parts of town forcing the suspension of classes in the morning shift.
In the material disseminated through Facebook, Telegram, and Twitter, the detonations of large-caliber weapons are heard.
Also through social networks, the Consulate of the United States Government confirmed that the offices were closed until further notice.
Due to the clashes, burning of units, and blockades, the public transport delegation in the border city suspended the urban transport service due to the high-risk situation.
