The weekend of October 14-16 was the most violent so far this year with 283 murders.
The Federal Government Security Report reported 93 intentional homicides on Friday, October 14; 107 on the 15th and 83 on Sunday the 16th of October.
The total is higher than the weekend of May 20-22 when 266 murders were reported, a figure that was considered the highest.
Among the 107 victims registered on Saturday, October 15, are the six men and six women murdered inside a bar in Irapuato, Guanajuato.
Guanajuato was precisely the state with the highest number of victims 32; followed by Jalisco with 31, Michoacán with 30, and the State of Mexico with 26.
So far in October, there have been 1,255 intentional homicides, a daily average of 78.4 victims.
