During Holy Week, 1,245 air operations were registered at the Puerto Vallarta International Airport, this means that passenger traffic was more than 169,000, exceeding the figures for 2019, as reported by the Pacific Airport Group to CPS News and Tribune of the Bay.

In this sense, the GAP indicated that in 2019, during this same period, air operations were 1,170, which represents 142,847 passengers, so the percentage increase between that year and this one, in flights is 6 % and tourists 18%.

It is important to mention that the flights are both national and international; some are arriving at the destination, while Canadian tourism, for example, is already returning home. But due to the San Marcos Fair in Aguascalientes, the influx of domestic tourism will continue to arrive at the port.

That is why during the holy days, a large influx of passengers could be observed in the area terminal, with many arrivals, and departures, complying with the health protocols; Likewise, advisory services are being provided at the Airport by Profeco, the health sector for vaccination, among others.

Likewise, Puerto Vallarta registered good numbers in terms of occupancy according to the Jalisco Tourism Secretariat, reaching 85% in the first week only in lodging in hotels from 1 to 5 stars.
