AUTHORITIES ACHIEVE THE CAPTURE OF THE MURDERERS OF THE NEIGHBOR OF CHICXULUB PUERTO, WHO INTENDED TO BUY A MAZDA TRUCK FROM HIM
PROGRESO, YUCATAN. – – The coordinated work of the Public Security Secretariat (SSP) and the State Attorney General’s Office (FGE), in the investigation of the homicide of a young man, which occurred last Monday in Progreso, yielded results less than 48 hours after the event.
Those likely responsible for the death of JRVE were apprehended early Thursday morning by elements of the State Investigation Police (PEI) of the SSP, in coordination with ministerial agents of the FGE.
After an exhaustive investigation, immediately after the citizen report of the crime was received to the 9-1-1 emergency number, the State Police alerted their units, and applied road closures, and vehicular inspection filters.
At the same time, from the C5i with the video surveillance cameras and reader arches, the possible routes of the alleged murderers and the vehicles in which they fled were followed up: the stolen truck and a red car, both secured hours later.
At the same time, at the scene of the event, the Chuburná Puerto police station, evidence was obtained and inquiries were made to clarify the crime.
With the collected evidence, the investigation folder was integrated, based on which a Control Judge issued the arrest warrant.
The detainees are Jorge Carlos PC, 23 years old, a civil engineer, and Erasmo Salomé CM, 27 years old, a bricklayer, both from Yucatan.
The subjects would have agreed to meet their victim to buy him a white Mazda truck, they asked him to test it on sandy roads and when the young man got out of the vehicle they shot him and fled taking the truck.
The State Investigation Police (PEI) of the SSP and the ministerial agents of the FGE, executed the arrest warrant and placed the subjects at the disposal of the Judge who requires them.
