The Secretary of Foreign Affairs, Marcelo Ebrard, announced on his social networks that he was informed by the Mexican ambassador Olga GarcĂa from Kyiv, the capital of Ukraine, that there was an explosion in the building next to the embassy.
The foreign minister added that due to this reason the ambassador was not allowed access to her offices. “Olga GarcĂa is attending from her residence”, the Secretary of Foreign Relations added.
The head of the Foreign Relations Secretariat did not give further details on damages to the embassy, but he made a public recognition to ambassador Olga Garcia Guillen on his social networks:
“I recognize your extraordinary courage to continue supporting Mexicans in Ukraine,” the foreign minister wrote on Twitter:
