This represents that in the last 24 hours  4,503 new infections and 357 deaths from COVID-19 were reported  in the national territory.

According to the daily technical statement, as of today there are estimates in the country of a total of  543,066 suspected cases, 6,958, 868 negative cases and  29,431 estimated active cases of the disease; that is, patients who began to present symptoms in the last 14 days (October 15 to October 28, 202).

The entities with the highest number of active cases of SARS-CoV-2 in descending order are:  Baja California, Mexico City, Guanajuato, Tabasco, Coahuila , Yucatán, Querétaro, Aguascalientes, Colima and San Luis Potosí.

Likewise, the Government of Mexico has registered the total number of infections accumulated by residence since the pandemic began, so the states with the highest number of reported cases are:  Mexico City  (969,854); State of Mexico  (373,484); Nuevo Leon  (203,655); Guanajuato  (187,935); Jalisco (160,607); Tabasco (141,818); Puebla (123,706); Veracruz (122,100); Sonora (111,710) and San Luis Potosí (102,931). These entities represent 66%, more than two thirds, of the total accumulated cases in the Mexican Republic.

Meanwhile,  the states with the highest number of deaths are : Mexico City (52,087); State of Mexico (32,266); Jalisco (16,877); Puebla (15,294); Veracruz (14,175) and Nuevo León (13,049).

The agency pointed out that the distribution by sex in confirmed deaths shows a  prevalence of 62% in men,  with an average age in deaths of 64 years; while confirmed cases show a higher prevalence in women, with 50.1% and the general average age is 39 years.

In addition, in the last five weeks,  most of the cases are present in the groups of 18 to 29 years , followed by the groups of 30 to 39 years and 40 to 49 years.

Regarding hospital availability, until October 27 the states with the highest percentage in general bed occupancy are Baja California  (64%), Puebla (42%) and Chihuahua (41%). In turn, those with the highest percentage in beds with a fan are Morelos (43%), Aguascalientes (38%) and Baja California (37%).

On the international scene, there are a total of  244,897,177 infections and 4,970,429  accumulated deaths worldwide. In the last 24 hours, 495,123 cases and 9,378 cases were reported, respectively. The overall fatality is 2 percent.
