The new terms of the concession will be issued in March 2023, according to the Federal Telecommunications Institute (IFT), which in 2016 notified Telmex that it granted an extension for 30 years from March 11, 2026. The initial concession was granted in 1976 and modified in 1990 when it was privatized and acquired by the Mexican magnate.
