The directorate that is in charge of Félix Penagos Madringal, explained that this mechanism aims to prevent crime
San Cristóbal de Las Casas.- The Municipal Police Directorate revealed that it maintains direct communication with more than 5 thousand 560 families within the so-called Citizen Information Networks (RedCi) which it considers is growing considerably in this city.
This direction, which is in charge of Félix Penagos Madrigal, explained that this mechanism is aimed at crime prevention, where they attend daily emergencies and complaints received on the direct line, as well as on the WhatsApp Pentagon messaging channel, which takes turns to the units closest to the place of the report or, the equally responsible bodies are channeled to others.
“During the month of August alone, 297 reports were received, among which various administrative offenses, family violence, traffic events, acts of fights, fire in a house, injured people, aggressive people, lost minors and excessive noise, among others, which were attended within a period of no more than 10 minutes from the entry of the call or message, until the arrival of elements at the scene of the events, ”they quoted in a letter.
They detail that, although there is less than a month for the municipal administration to conclude, prevention activities will not stop, on the contrary, they will continue to manage approaches with representatives of neighborhoods and neighborhoods, as in the 3rd Sonora expansion and the Altejar neighborhood, where Personnel from the Crime Prevention Coordination carried out social proximity activities to identify and inhibit antisocial behaviors.
In both neighborhoods, a working meeting was held to form information networks in which its inhabitants participate and interact in real-time with the corporation’s managers, with the aim of promptly addressing their complaints. Likewise, preventive patrols were reinforced with the implementation of the track down Operation, with which points of interest were identified to be attended by the elements.
