According to Allianz Partners, Millennials in Mexico are the fastest-growing generation in purchasing international travel assistance services.
The world’s leading company in assistance services revealed that there was a 48 percent increase in the intention to acquire this protection when comparing the period February to April against that of May to July this year.
Roberto González, general director of Allianz Partners in Mexico, commented that this purchase intention was more noticeable for millennials interested in traveling to the United States, Europe, or Latin America.
Interest in having travel assistance may be due to the growing number of countries that request this service as an entry requirement. To date, more than 40 nations request the requirement.
For this reason, Allianz Partners foresees that the growth trend for millennials who want this product will continue the rest of the year and the following.
A study by the travel assistance company shows that this growing interest of millennials to acquire protection on their trips has already been registered before, possibly marking a new global trend.
Just when comparing March 2019 with the same month in 2020, the purchase interest of this generation increased by 15 percent worldwide, for international travel.
To this is added that the traveler is now more aware and demanding in terms of costs, security, flexibility, transparency, reliability of services, and digitization.
“Today, our most used travel assistance services are medical assistance, trip cancellation and lost luggage. Our clients prefer us for the results that the integrality of our offer gives them and for maintaining an active listening 24/7 as part of an assistance that is tangible from the first day of their hiring ”, added Roberto González.
