In the last edition of IBTM Americas, La Paz presented its offer for meetings tourism, where it stood out as an emerging destination for this market segment.
During the two days of the event held at the Citibanamex Center in Mexico City, the La Paz Tourism Trust, together with the destination’s exhibiting companies, attended 100 business appointments.
On the part of Fidetur, 35 appointments were made where two visits were made in October, and particular interest was detected from markets such as the United States, Colombia and Brazil.
The five local companies that attended IBTM together with Fidetur La Paz were Puerta Cortés, Hotel The Marine Waterfront and Baja King Expeditions, as well as two DMC’s.
The director of the Tourism Trust of the destination, Fátima Avilés, commented “this type of events generates excellent opportunities, they are forums to publicize the brand-destination of La Paz before relevant tourist actors from different markets of interest”.
Avilés added “we are a destination that attracts for its natural beauties and a wide variety of tourist attractions. However, we stand out for offering memorable experiences, hand in hand with the harmony that causes being a place free of crowds and mass tourism ”.
Along with La Paz, IBTM Americas 2021 was attended by more than 350 exhibiting companies and 400 buyers, sponsors, and specialized media in the business tourism segment.
