The beaches of Acapulco in Guerrero report 57.1% occupancy despite the rebound in Covid-19 cases.
According to the Ministry of Tourism in Guerrero, until this Sunday, July 11, the general average of hotel occupancy in the entity is 58.3%.
Hotel occupancy is distributed between three zones:
Iztapa-Zihuatanejo with 62.2% where Ixtapa accumulates 70.1% and Zihuatanejo 22.7%
Acapulco with 57.1% where Dorada accumulates 64.9%, Diamante 47.1% and Náutica 39.1%
Taxco with 51%
In Acapulco, tourists flock especially to the beaches of Caleta, Caletilla, Tamarindo, Dominguillo and Papagayo.
The state of Guerrero exceeds 43 thousand cases of Covid-19
Guerrero accumulates 43 thousand 355 cases of Covid-19 until this Sunday, July 11 and 4 thousand 585 deaths.
Being the municipality of Acapulco de Juárez the one with the highest incidence of cases with 17 thousand 588 and one thousand 944 deaths.
Zihuatanejo de Azueta reports 2,494 cases of coronavirus and 199 deaths, while Taxco de Alarcón adds 1,512 cases and 219 deaths.
