Forecast of thunderstorms and rain across Mexico

In its forecast extended to 96 hours, the National Meteorological Service highlighted these conditions for the entity mostly during the late into the night

Sinaloa.- The weekend came with a forecast of thunderstorms in Sinaloa, an entity that currently has the record of maximum temperatures at the national level. 

In its extended forecast notice, the National Meteorological Service details that the anticyclonic circulation in medium levels of the atmosphere will maintain ample possibilities of light and scattered rains and electrical storms in the state. 

And although it does not highlight important rains, in fact, ‘nor do they paint’ in today’s forecast for Sinaloa, it does mark the region with the possibility of thunderstorms, and thus establishes the forecast for today: 

Weather forecast Friday, May 7, 2021 for the northwest region of Mexico
• Intervals of showers (5.1 to 25.0 mm): Chihuahua, Durango, Zacatecas and Puebla.
• Isolated rains (0.1 to 5.0 mm): Coahuila, Nuevo León, Jalisco, Michoacán, Guanajuato, State of Mexico, Mexico City and Morelos.

Electrical storms: Chihuahua, Durango, Sinaloa, Coahuila, Nuevo León, Tamaulipas, San Luis Potosí, Zacatecas, Nayarit, Jalisco, Michoacán, Guerrero, State of Mexico, Veracruz, Oaxaca, Chiapas, Tabasco, Campeche, Yucatán and Quintana Roo *

• Wind with gusts of 60 to 70 km / h in the Gulf of California and the Isthmus and Gulf of Tehuantepec and with dust storms in Baja California, Chihuahua and Coahuila.
• Wind gusting from 50 to 60 km / h: Sonora, Durango, Nuevo León, Tamaulipas, San Luis Potosí and Zacatecas.
• Maximum temperatures of 40 to 45 ° C: Michoacán and Guerrero.

It also warns that a low-pressure system in the Pacific Ocean will move parallel to the coasts of Guerrero and Michoacán, will cause moisture to enter the south and west of the Mexican Republic, increasing the probability of rains in the aforementioned regions. It will be kept under surveillance.

For Saturday, Sunday and Monday the National Meteorological Institute no longer establishes Sinaloa with a forecast of rain or thunderstorms, but with oppressive heat with maximum temperatures of up to 40 degrees Celsius.
