Members of Mexico City’s heroic Fire Department in coordination with police officers from the Secretariat of Citizen Security (SSC-CDMX) as well as Civil Protection personnel from the Miguel Hidalgo district, worked together to quell a forest fire that was registered in the Third Section of the iconic Bosque de Chapultepec (Chapultepec Forest).
According to reports, the fire is apparently already under control, and at the moment, the cause of the incident is still unknown, but Mexico City’s Civil Protection authorities do not rule out that it was caused by the intense heat that has hit the city in recent days, even this Monday at some points the thermometer marked 33 degrees Celsius (91 Fahrenheit).
Because specialized personnel continues to work in the area, local authorities recommend that the residents of the capital do not approach the place and allow immediate access to tank vehicles and paramedics for rapid entry into the area of conflagration.
