Aguascalientes Hospital Hidalgo will participate in Anti-Covid vaccine for children protocol

In recognition of its excellence in medical care and state-of-the-art facilities, the Centenario Hospital Miguel Hidalgo of Aguascalientes, along with three national institutes of health in Mexico City, was chosen to carry out the protocol of the vaccine for children against COVID-19 of Janssen, an American pharmacist in the Johnson & Johnson division”, announced Governor Martín Orozco Sandoval.

The Governor of Aguascalientes pointed out that this information is given after the trials in children and adolescents of the Janssen vaccine began in minors from European countries, in most cases girls and boys recruited for these tests have been adolescents between 12 and 17 years; however, Johnson & Johnson will begin infant testing phases. Orozco Sandoval commented that in the next few days more information about the participation of the CHMH in said protocol will be made public.

At a press conference, the governor reported that with the application of 124 thousand 878 vaccines against COVID-19 by Pfizer-BioNTech, Sinovac, and AstraZeneca, Aguascalientes continues with a good streak in the immunization of medical personnel in the health sector and adults over 60 years of age from all municipalities in the state.
