Los Cabos.- In order to supervise that sanitary regulations are met within the vessels of the Cabo San Lucas delegation as well as on the beaches of the town, the Mayor of Los Cabos Lorena Cortés Torralbo in conjunction with the municipal offices, Harbor Master’s Office, Coepris and Semarnat carried out surveillance tours.

In this regard, the municipal president Lorena Cortés reported that this supervision tour of tourist boats and beaches in the municipality was carried out as a result of the invitation of Captain José Basurto Beltrán in charge of maintaining control in the Sanlucan port.

He also mentioned that within the beaches it is inspected that the allowed capacity of 50% and the healthy distance are respected, as well as the hours 7:00 in the morning to 7:00 at night, and recalled that camping is not allowed.

“It is important that in coordination we are giving this follow-up to guarantee the safety of those who visit us and of the citizens of Los Cabos who come to enjoy it,” said Cortés Torralbo.

After the participation of the Municipal President, Captain José Basurto Beltrán commented that the supervision of boats and beaches during this Holy Week began on March 1 and will end on April 30 of the current year.

On the other hand, he asserted that the capacity allowed in tourist boats is 50% and the use of face masks is mandatory, while the schedule will be until 7:00 in the afternoon; however, as of April 4, they will be able to work until 8:30 at night, this derived from the time change, without being able to camp on public beaches.
