On Sunday, January 3, Juan, 78, died in the hospital after being attacked with a knife in Mariscala de Juárez, in the Mixteca.
On Monday the 4th, Luis Juan, 45, was shot to death on Hombres Ilustres Street, between Cinco de Mayo and Morelos streets, in Matías Romero, the region of the Isthmus of Tehuantepec.
The same day, the corpse of Sergio, 48, was found in the Papaloapan River, in Tuxtepec, with a head wound.
On Monday night, Jaciel, 34, was shot to death inside a barbershop located on Avenida Juárez, in San Pablo Huixtepec.
On Tuesday, January 5, in the morning, the body of a young man between 20 and 25 years of age was found with signs of torture in the garbage dump of the Fidel Peña neighborhood, in the Eighth Section of Juchitán de Zaragoza.
On Wednesday the 6th, three musicians from the Reina Zapoteca band, identified as Joaquín, 19 years old; Miguel, 18, and Basilio, 19, were shot to death in San Vicente Coatlán, when they were traveling to the city of Oaxaca in a Nissan Sentra-type car, where the bodies were left.
On the same day, the 55-year-old floriculturist Artemio was shot to death in the Cerro Gordo area, belonging to the El Zapote town, in Miahuatlán de Porfirio Díaz, in the Sierra Sur.
On Thursday, January 7, four people were murdered inside a private home in Barrio La Revolución in San Miguel Soyaltepec. The three of them died at the scene and one died in hospital. They were identified as Luis Donaldo, 25 years old; Tiburcio, 30 years old; Deriam Alexis, 23 years old, and Jorge Alberto, 18 years old.
On Friday the 8th, a motorcycle taxi driver was shot to death at the Vicente Guerrero municipal agency in Villa de Zaachila. On the same day, Jesús, 53, was shot to death during a fight on Pino Suárez street in the Oaxacan neighborhood, in Matías Romero.
Also, the body of Jorge, 25, was found face down, handcuffed, and with a shot on the forehead, on the local highway San Juan Lagunas-Amate Colorado, at the height of Paraje Piedra Blanca, in the municipality of Putla Villa de Guerrero.
On the morning of Saturday the 9th, the body of a murdered woman was found in some farmland, in the Guadalupe Victoria ejido in the municipality of San Antonio de la Cal.
