The pandemic stopped the beauty contest for transvestites from taking place in Coahuila, which this year was by direct appointment.

Noé Ruiz Malacara, president of the San Aelredo Community, said that due to COVID-19 issues, the contest was not held as such, so he hopes that the event can be held next year.

He stressed that the idea is to hold two contests supported by the Global Universe firm, one in Saltillo for Regular Size and another in Torreón for XL size, both to be held in June as part of the LGBTI + pride month.

What was sought was to give visibility to the population of transvestite boys who have the dream of representing the state at a national or international beauty pageant.

The activist reported that Global Universe Mexico is a platform that integrates 23 Mexican states.

He argued that this year another two transvestites will be crowned, Aries, originally from Saltillo, in Regular Size, and Verónica, originally from Monclova, in Size XL, the coronation ceremony will take place on December 19 with a limited capacity of 50 people, the venue of the event is yet to be announced.
