Puerto Vallarta estimates to close November with 45% hotel occupancy

The tourist reactivation in Puerto Vallarta follows an accelerated pace, mainly from September to date, since that month it registered 30 percent of hotel occupancy, which increased to 40% in October, and for November, Puerto Vallarta hoteliers are expecting to close at 45 percent.

According to figures from the Puerto Vallarta Tourism Promotion and Advertising Trust, the weekends in November already exceeded 40 percent occupancy, mainly on the last long weekend of the year.

This date is very helpful for American tourists to visit any of the warm destinations in Mexico, so a significant arrival of travelers is expected despite the travel warning issued a few days ago by the United States CDC to avoid traveling to some destinations in our country.

Grupo Aeroportuario del Pacífico, which is in charge of the Puerto Vallarta Airport, reported that since June, the month in which the tourist destination reopening began, until October 31st, a total of 289,100 passengers have arrived, both domestic and international.

The number of flights has also increased, going from 322 in June to 1,006 in October, and for November it is estimated that there will be 1,323 air frequencies.

Luis Villaseñor, interim director of Fidetur Puerto Vallarta, highlights that these achievements are the product of the 360-degree strategy that they have promoted in conjunction with the hotel sector to promote, advertising, marketing, public relations, and an adequate digital strategy.

With this, a responsible tourist reactivation has been implemented, adhering to the guidelines indicated by the health authorities.

In the interior of the country, they have addressed potential markets such as the Bajío and the Northwest, through webinars, while abroad there have been 49 activities directed to the issuing cities of the United States with training, conferences, and tradeshows.
